Hey y'all. I was officially Divined today in the Ritual of Parent Divination sponsored by the Kemetic Orthodox Church. 

*grins*

Surprise, surprise, to anyone who knows me, my Mother came up as Bast. *grins* The Nisut (AUS) told me that she would have been surprised as hell to find out that I wasn't a child of Bast.

I also got 3 Beloveds,  Amun, Wepwawet - Yinepu, and Set. Set didn't surprise me, but the other two did. I don't know a damn thing about them, other than they're complicated as shit. Heh. I dunno, I guess I'll learn about them before too long. I love Bast... She's so amazing.

The RPD itself was two fold, first my Akhu spoke to me - they told me to learn to make decisions without thinking them over too desperately, lol. Set came up as a Netjer to help me learn to surpass that issue of mine. I've got issues, lol. Lots of them. But it's great, I loved the entire experience. It was very very odd, yet very very beautiful.

I also recently bought some great books on Egypt and Egyptian practices... One of which has information about Amun in it, which is great. I've got so much to learn! It's a little overwhelming.

Salem wants me to get more into this whole thing, though I dunno if I'm going to yet or not. It's very complicated and lots of work to put up with. I am planning on making space in the new apartment (which we'll hopefully get *crosses fingers* soon) for at least one altar for my Mum and Beloveds.

In case you're wondering, Beloveds are a lot like Aunts & Uncles. Of course, mine are all Uncles, but that's ok. They help shape your personality, and are only applicable in this life and this time. In the next life we may have different Beloveds. I was hoping for Aset to show up (you might know her as Isis) but She didn't. I was also hoping for Nebt-het, but again, that's okay, just because She didn't show up doesn't mean I can't have a relationship with her.

Wow, I didn't know a whole bunch of those, heh. That's what you get, I suppose, for not listening to the radio that often. Plus, I was kind of sequestered back then... It was my first year of college, and I did a lot of hiding from the world.?

I wake up this morning after only 5 hours of sleep to get to work at 6, only to be greeted by mind numbing period pain coupled with nausea that makes me nearly go home - a thing I've never done before. Then, as it fades, I manage to burn myself several times, almost drop a pizza, fumble with everything, and otherwise injure myself in small ways several times. Then, as it's nearly time to go, and we're counting out the drawer we used, we are suddenly $40 short, and no one can figure out why. So I come home, frustrated and annoyed and exhausted. I spend time recuperating, and finally check my email. What do I find, to my joy, but the information I need to get my Ritual of Parent Divination, a Kemetic Orthodox rite of passage that marks my covenent with the Gods. Hurray, I think, and hurriedly read through the information. I discover that, for ritual reasons, I cannot send my information back to the Nisut (our leader) until after 4 days have passed. Alas, I think, I am eager to get started. But I notice that I received the email on the 29th, and not the 30th, and so I am feeling slightly better. So I continue to read the information until I discover that...

Needless to say, I'm heartbroken. I'm emotional. I cry. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been waiting for so long, and I'm finally about to do it, and I can't because I can't afford it. I hate being poor. I hate it so much. 

 

So now I don't really know what to do with myself. I suppose my journey has ended. I don't know where the money will come from, and I feel like I'm going to start tearing my skin off, strip at a time.
